Our Explorers classes cater to our youngest learners and their caregivers who are ready to have an early experience with music. Offered in blocks of fifteen weeks, two times a year, these classes are a cost-effective and low-stakes introduction to music learning for families who are looking to build a musical foundation or get to know the process of learning an instrument through musical games, basic techniques, and creative activities in a social setting.

Strings Explorers

Spots Available!

In String Explorers, young learners with no prior experience and their caregivers have the opportunity to try violin, viola and cello, choose one of the three instruments, and spend several weeks learning the basics on the instrument through inquiry-based creative approaches involving both the kids and grownups. This class works best for kids ages 4 – 8 years old and their caregivers. The class currently meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Ukulele Explorers

Spots Available!

The Ukulele is a great starting point for any small child wanting to play an instrument. It’s easy to hold, easy to play, and there’s a lot one can do with it: chords, melodies, percussion, etc. In the Ukulele Explorers Class, kids aged 5 to 9 and their caregivers are invited to learn the basics of Ukulele playing through a series of fun games, sing-alongs, and other activities. The class currently meets weekly on Saturdays from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

Sound Explorers
